About Vakok Burmese Cuisine
Located at 9711 Plano Rd B, Dallas, TX 75238, Vakok Burmese Cuisine operates as a restaurant serving Dallas in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.
Hours have not been published for this listing yet. Most businesses of this type in Dallas keep standard business hours, but call ahead to be sure, especially on weekends and holidays. Dallas is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Dallas peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

After getting to experience really amazing Burmese cuisine in San Francisco, my wife and I were desperate for a similar experience in Dallas. We saw this place close to our storage unit and were delighted. More delighted after actually tasting the food! The tea leaf salad is simply amazing. The fried rice is light, full of flavor, and simply delicious. The chicken biryani is awesome. Go. To. This. Place. Get multiple tea leaf salads so you donβt fight your significant other for thirds and fourths...

I went there and ate BS5 (Tilapia Special). It was very authentic (of course). It actually reminds me of my childhood in Burma. I look through the menu and everything seems testing to me. The prices are very reasonable as well so, I recommend this place if you are seeking for the undiscovered Asian Foods.

Chicken biryani was fast and cheap. Chicken itself was very good, rice was undercooked however. They were also out of what I wanted to order. Will make sure to give them another chance and try another dish. Recent Update: Some really great ramen and other tasty dishes, one of my local favorites.
